LHS Freshman Lillianne High won first place in the annual VFW Voice of Democracy speech contest. She entered the contest as part of her Speech class and was awarded a computer. Lillianne also came in first place for the VFW District and will be competing in the state contest.

LHS Junior Julian Booth placed 2nd in both the local competition and the district competition.
