We explored Leominster’s CTEi shops and interviewed some of the students that participate in this program. CTEI stands for Leominster’s Center for Technical Innovation, it includes a series of shops that appeal to many student interests.
Some of the shops include Graphic Design, Electronics, Auto Tech, HVAC and so much more.
In this visual story, we interviewed students from Machine Shop, Electronics and HVAC, as well as received amazing opinions on CTEi.
Throughout the video, CTEi students express their love for their program. Some explained that CTEi has given them new friendships, while others shared how CTEi made them into the person they are today.
CTEi is a wonderful program and an amazing opportunity for many students.
CTEI student’s days start at 7:30 and end at 2:15 just like regular LHS students.
In the video, students explain what their days in their specific shop look like and it’s evident that it’s very different from a typical LHS student’s day. Students of different grades explain how their specific shop varies between students based on whether you’re a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
Leominster High School is one of the few comprehensive high schools in the state that offers both a complete traditional high school and a complete trade school combined.
All students at LHS can explore CTEi freshman year and then decide on or qualify for a shop.
This year’s Valedictorian is a student in the Honors Electronics program and she will be attending Harvard University next year.
Leominster CTEi is a proud member of SkillsUSA and this year the students brought home Silver at States in Urban Search and Rescue.
Overall, this video portrays the wonders of CTEi and shows visuals of some of the incredible work CTEi students complete.
Take a look at some of the shops in the Center for Technical Education innovation at Leominster High.

Well done, both with the article and video. The video should be shared with middle school students to pique their interest in the programs offered by CTEi, 8th grade is too late for many students. The students who were interviewed are great representatives of the program. Congratulations!
