This week Isabella Cormier, a member of S.T.U.M.P., came to talk to the Devil’s Advocate about Vote 16. Vote 16 is a national campaign to allow anyone 16 and older to vote in municipal elections.

S.T.U.M.P. is a club at Leominster High to get students more involved in local government. 

“We’re trying to allow 16-year-olds to vote,” Isabella said.

S.T.U.M.P. will be presenting information about Vote 16 on June 3, at a Civic Showcase event in Worcester, followed up with a dinner at Great Wolf Lodge.

In the past, S.T.U.M.P. has hosted local debates and hosted an early voter registration drive.

Delvin Quansah is a 16-year-old Junior in LHS. He is an athlete who runs track for the LHS Blue Devils. His favorite subjects include math and science. He enjoys outdoor activities whenever there's free time from a long day at school. After senior year, he hopes to study computer science in college. He took Journalism because he wanted to explore the perspective of being a news reporter and the skill that comes with writing news stories.

Ella is a Senior at LHS and she does sewing club and chess club. Ella enjoys drawing and listening to music, She enjoys the journalism class because of how interesting it is and she enjoys talking about the topics in the journalism class.
Camdin Norton
Camdin Norton, Reporter
Camdin is a Senior at Leominster High School. A familiar face in the hallways, Camdin decided to take Journalism 2  because she is very interested in the news, especially entertainment. This is her third class in the news field. Last year she was in Journalism 1.
