This Thursday and Friday, the media center will be bustling with students using the Maker Space area for holiday gift creations and ornaments.
Mr. Freel is offering the Makers Space program which allows students to make some hands-on products.
This program offers students freedom while making designs on any item of their choice, junk journaling, 3D printing, laminates for t-shirts and even video and poster making.
The area’s 3D printers and Cricut machines will be available to make t-shirts, cut papers, cut stickers, and countless other items.
No prior knowledge is required, and the program is beginner-friendly. Mr. Freel offers one-on-one help if needed.
When asked about skills students will be able to develop, Mr. Freel said “Plenty of muscle memory skills, learning how to take different artifacts off the mats and be able to learn how to work in Tinkercad to develop 3D printing skills”
The design space is something everybody can access. You can do this on your own, or send your design to Mr. Freel and he will help you make your idea come to life.
While students will be able to access this during lunch, during school (any period) and after school, this special holiday Makerspace is this Thursday and Friday during Period 3.
Mr. Freel plans to keep expanding the Maker’s Space and add more hands-on projects for students and staff to work on.
If you are interested in any of these projects. See Mr. Freel at any time in the media center to sign up.
