The Leominster Math Team competed against several different schools this week in the Annual Haskins Math Competition at Fitchburg State University.
According to Math team Advisor Lisa Bailey, the students compete in their grade levels. The Sophomores scored in the top 15% of the schools in their competition.
Senior Danel Diaz took 3rd in the Senior Competition.
The Juniors made an impressive sweep of their competition with Hersch Patel and Brian Jiang coming in tied for 1st and Zhenyu Liu placing 3rd. Teammate Jacob Magliozzi earned Honorable Mention.
LHS Junior Zhenyu Liu placed 3rd, LHS Junior Jacob Magliozzi received Honorable Mention, LHS Senior Danel Diaz placed 3rd.
