See you later Leominster!

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, Noah Gray officially signed his National Letter of Intent to Duke University in North Carolina.

Noah has been a standout on the LHS football team as the school’s quarterback. He will be continuing his football career as a tight end at Duke.

Along with Duke, Noah Gray had received other options from the University of New Hampshire, Temple University, and the University of Toledo.

When asked why he chose Duke, Noah said “I have family down there.” He added “Duke was a great school” and he “loves the atmosphere” and “the coaches are awesome.”

Noah said he made his decision based on what would help him “have a better future and be successful after football.”

He is enrolled into Duke as undecided for now. Even though he’s excited for this amazing opportunity, Noah said “it’s nerve-wracking,” and that he is sad about leaving everyone behind.

He vows he will “most definitely stay in touch and come back to visit whenever possible.”

Noah is “very confident” in his choice of Duke and sees himself in 5 to 10 years “hopefully living in NC in my own apartment” and “in 10 years hopefully with a stable job and my own family.”

Gray says his chances of being in the NFL are “very slim” but he’s hopeful.

Even though Gray is going to be attending Duke University in the fall, he will always be a Blue Devil – because Duke’s team is called the Blue Devils. Once a Blue Devil, always a Blue Devil.
