Mia Torres is a senior at Leominster High School who is an active member of her community. She has been in the school Marching Band for four years as a drummer and singer. As well as her passion for music, Mia also enjoys her academic studies, especially AP Environmental Science and AP Biology. She plans on being an Environmental Scientist or Marine Biologist in the future, and is hopefully headed to Salve Regina to pursue that. 

Mia initially chose Journalism to fill her English requirements for senior year, but upon entering the classroom, found herself interested in a field she had never considered before. She hopes to enhance her writing skills throughout the year and learn about ways in which journalism affects the narrative of a community through truth and integrity.
