Tyler was born in Leominster, but lived in Fitchburg for the first ten years of his life. He then moved to Leominster in 2011, starting his transition into the new school system. Tyler played football and hockey for many years, playing on the high school varsity team his junior year, but decided not to play his senior year. Tyler is the oldest of eight children.
