LHS senior Katie Charpentier won the Executive Director’s Choice Award for Artistic Excellence at the
Worcester Art Museum.

Students from across the region displayed their work in the museum during March.

Katie’s watercolor entitled “The Pond” was a vivid impressionistic painting of greens and reds and blues of waterlilies
reflecting in the water.

LHS Art teacher Shelly Saben explained in an email that 9 LHS students were “chosen to hang their work
at the Worcester Art Museum for their annual Youth Art Month Worcester Regional exhibit.

This multimedia exhibit features student work from communities across central Massachusetts.”

The exhibit can be viewed through April.
