On September 13, the Queen’s coffin arrived at Buckingham Palace, but on September 15, the coffin was removed from Buckingham Palace to lie in state at Westminster Hall until the day of her funeral. The coffin was covered with the royal flag and the crown she wore at her coronation in 1953.

Following the funeral, the Queen will be buried in a private family service.

She will be buried next to her late husband, Prince Phillip, inside St. George’s Chapel at Windsor.
