Walid Basalamah, Reporter
My name, Walid Basalamah. By now you’re either scared or can’t pronounce my name
That’s okay though, I am used to it. Let’s start with where I am from, that way it’s easier to see where the name came from. I am from Morocco. Most people don’t have a clue where that is so I’ll tell you that it’s in North Africa, yes indeed I am a North African with light skin and gray eyes, not very common even where I come from. I am 18 years of age, I have been living in the United States for a little over a year now, unfortunately I had to be the one from the other side coming here to seek a better future because of how under-developed my homeland is. I started calling myself an average gamer after I stopped competing in world leagues. I enjoy hunting and movies, and most importantly sleeping. I won’t lie, at first I only joined Journalism because it sounded better than Senior English, but it actually turning out to be a very interesting class full of fun things to do and you feel like it’s a job, not a class – professionalism if you know what I mean? And that is who I tend to be now-a-days.
