Everybody loves a solid french fry, but out of the 3 main fast food joints in our area, which one has the best french fries?
On this quest for the best fast food french fries, I sampled french fries from McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King, but which one provides the ultimate french fry experience?
Starting with last place, McDonald’s fries are definitely the most popular and iconic, but these were just straight disappointing.
McDonald’s fries lacked a lot of what many people desire in a french fry: there was little to no salt and many of the fries were limp which left a soggy, oily bite.
Keep in mind, a small fry is $2.99, so in that case, McDonald’s deserves a rating of 5/10 for their french fries.
Next up is Burger King coming in second place, with the most appealing and symmetrically looking fries. They looked golden with a crispy exterior, however they tasted quite plain.
The inside of the fries had a mashed potato consistency, and Burger King also seemed to lack that nicely salted feature that is very important.
Although Burger King had the most visually appealing looking french fries, the consistency and lack of overall flavor, plus another pretty steep price of $2.99, really bumped the rating down to a solid 7/10.
Finally, the winner of the french fry debate today was Wendy’s. Their spuds took the top spot. Their fries were excellently made with the perfect amount of salt and a splendid toasted shape that ensured each bite was worth every penny.
A small Wendy’s french fry comes with the cheapest price out of the three at $2.69, which is just an additional reason why Wendy’s is #1 when it comes to their french fries.
Nowadays fast food prices are almost equivalent to most restaurants, so it’s in your best interest to know what’s really worth your hard-earned cash.
