The annual LHS Life Skills talent show was a major success this year, with a thrilled crowd reaction and a fired-up theme overall. Seats from the very front of the auditorium to the very back were filled with eager viewers excited to support their peers.
The show opened with a video introduction of all the talented performers before they walked on stage to the catchy tune “Pump Up the Jam” by Technotronic to set the vibe.
The crowd was highly interactive, with applause echoing before, during, and after the performances.
Glow sticks and phone flashlights were waved during the slow songs. During the performance, “Ordinary,” performed by Brooklyn, while flashlights from the crowd added a supportive and visual touch.
Cheers and clapping to the beat accompanied other powerful performances such as, “Feel This Moment” performed by Glow and Jean. Notably, a life skills graduate Junior made a special appearance in the audience, adding excitement to the event.
The event saw a large turnout, especially from the junior and senior classes.
The production quality was even better than in previous years. Atmospheric effects and stage lighting enhanced each performance. A projector was used effectively, and lighting varied for different songs and dances, creating a vibrant and immersive experience.
Highlights included a comedic moment during Mia’s act; the ABC performance (a returning act), in which inflatable zebras appeared on the stage, and posters were also used on stage.

The returning trash barrel cleanup skit, featuring comic teams of Lifeskills students cleaning the props between performances, returned and brought laughs.
In the BTS performance, Jared knew the entire original dance by heart, impressing the audience and adding energy to the show.
Props such as skeletons in “Bad to the Bone,” performed by Addison, contributed to the fun and thematic elements of the performances.

This event served as a fundraiser to support the Life Skills program, with mentors actively participating to support the event’s success.
The show concluded with a lively conga line into the audience, leaving everyone energized and engaged.
Overall, the Life Skills Talent Show was a vibrant celebration of talent, teamwork, and school spirit, leaving a memorable experience for all attendees and performers.
