GET OUT — You Won’t Want to Get Out of the Movie Theater When You Watch This Movie

By: Nicolas Malm -You ever get that feeling when you are just about to meet the parents of your boyfriend or girlfriend and you are nervous and want to make a good first impression? Well, “Get Out” directed by Jordan Peele from Comedy Central’s comedy duo Key and Peele, creates an interesting take on this type of scenario.

We follow protagonist Chris Washington, played by Daniel Kaluuya, who decides to go with his  girlfriend Rose Armitage, played by Allison Williams, to her parents’ house for a small vacation.

Upon arriving at her parents’ estate, he soon discovers the dark and disturbing background hidden
there. With chilling performances by Catherine Keener and Bradley Whitford as Rose’s parents, this movie will make you think twice about the next time you are invited to meet your girlfriend’s parents.

Continuing with this movie’s story, the plot is perfect inside and out. The movie’s fictional story paints a realistic perspective that is historically accurate.

The history that Chris discovers revolving around the basement and locked rooms really hits home as accurate. You will keep guessing and guessing as you follow Chris through his experience in the home where he feels his race is not welcome.

With clever hints along the way, and creative symbolism, along with so much psychedelic suspense, you will not be disappointed with the exciting twists waiting for you at the end.

Without taking out all the fun for you, take my word as I tell you this movie is a must see for its plot!

Aside from the plot, this movie is filled with interesting characters, some of which are very funny (after all Jordan Peele is from Comedy Central). You will grow really attached to Chris’s curious and determined personality and end up laughing until your gut hurts from his friend Rod Williams played by LilRel Howery.

The house of the Armitages is filled with creepy and mysterious characters that will reel you in to find out what will happen next.

Predictability will not be a problem with this movie at all. Right when you think you know what will happen next, the unthinkable happens. This movie consists of action, thrill, suspense, humor, and a little gore, but nothing too bad.

I hate to keep this so vague bu it’s so difficult not to so that you can still go out and enjoy all the surprises of the movie yourself.

I rate this movie a solid 4.5 out of 5, only because thrillers are not for everyone, but be assured that once you get involved in this movie, you will not want to get out of that theatre.
